Blow on high,
dance now crystal snow
Light the painted sky
touch the Earth below

Shimmering stars,
gentle flakes descend from heaven
Wisps of god-wrought joy
their blessings now are given

Fall so fair,
Heaven's boldest wings brought low
Blow on high
fly now crystal snow

Exhale once more,
the night now so alive.
Ghostly breath entwined below
above, a glorious sky

Snow globe scene,
a moment's grace suspended
Crystalline dreams
within a world so splendid

Blow on high,
fill me crystal snow
Embrace the glimmering trees
…and wake my slumbering soul.
Standing in a rain of snow, thoughts fly free and feelings flow...

It has been a while, but this is beautiful. I think it is a wonderful way of cataching the essence and beauty of a new fallen snow.

Thank you my friend. I have not forgotten my proposal to collab either. I am in a quandary of personal issues right now and am barely writing. I will let you know when I feel up to it. Until then...I am glad for your attention and comments.

it reads like a lullaby. absolutely delightful...though this stanza: "Snow globe scene,
a moment's grace suspended
Crystalline dreams
within a world so splendid"

could be tweaked...it's a little saccharine. The rest is adorable. :)

This is breathtaking and beautiful. Love the whole thing, can't even pick a favorite line, but I super like "fly now crystal snow"

thank you for your wonderful comments. that line is one of my two faves here and was originally in the opening phrase which drove the whole poem.

Well written poem.

Standing in a rain of snow, thoughts fly free and feelings flow... <= That's right. And when you add a silent night with full moonlight in that, you got a combination that makes your feel relaxed and forget all of your troubles.

Nature is beautiful...

A tenderly worded masterpiece, hon. I can envision your "Snow globe scene".

Thank you Claudia. For a time I was considering making the "snow globe" scene more up front, perhaps the center of the whole poem. I cut it back to that one verse in the end, but it serves its purpose I think. So glad you enjoyed my winter musings!

It has a nice flow that falls soft on the ear. The feminine rhyme in the second last quatrain is a nice touch.

Thanks so much. This was in interesting task in visualization as I wasn't actually outside in a storm as I wrote it! I really felt it though.

You keep on reminding me of the simple joys in life.
Rainfall, snowfall. They're beautiful.

This...this is gorgeous.

Thank you. It seems you have! :) I am always pleased to have someone read and love what I write and think and feel. I placed myself in the snowstorm for this one and just wrote what came from it.
